Connectors

Reliable connections are the least glamorous and most important part of a solar installation — a corroded or badly crimped joint wastes power and can get dangerously hot. This collection covers genuine-specification MC4 connectors, Y-branch adapters for wiring panels in parallel, extension leads in various lengths and gauges, and the crimping tools and spanners to fit them properly.

All connectors are waterproof (IP67) and UV-stable, rated for outdoor use on vans, boats and fixed installations. When extending cable runs, keep voltage drop in mind: for 12V systems, step up to 4mm² or 6mm² cable on longer runs to avoid losing the power your panels worked to make.
