    Compounded Stanley Steam Oil 1000+ST

    Hallett Code: STO007

A compounded steam cylinder oil specially formulated for Stanley Steam Cars from a blend of solvent refined mineral oil and unique additive technology to offer improved corrosion resistance and lubricity to protect components from premature wear. The fatty compounding enables the oil to form an emulsification in the presence of moisture whilst retaining a consistent and strong lubrication film, this allows the lubricant to disperse where it can adhere to the internal surfaces of steam cylinders and valve blocks.

    Product Benefits:

    • Does not damage paintwork or cause staining on phosphor bronze, brass or copper fittings.
    • Promotes low carbonisation of cylinders and pistons.
    • Provides a robust lubricating film to protect valves and cylinders.
    • Offers excellent corrosion resistance.
    • Exceptional lubricity, even at elevated temperatures.
    • Better visibility in the winker sight glass.

    Steam temperature – over 290°C (550°F)
    Boiler pressure – over 250PSI

    Applications:

Designed for high steam temperatures, pressures, and dry superheat steam conditions. For use with steam locomotives operating on preserved lines, traction engines, steam rollers and stationary engines.
This product may be used for the lubrication of industrial gears and bearings where the use of an extreme pressure oil is not required.
Compounded lubricants are not recommended for use where there is condensate recovery.
